Job Description:
The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for: * Managing computer systems and networks, including WANs, LANs
* Creating and restoring systems using various tools
* Managing network security
* Provide technical consultation and specialized guidance to management and users
* Oversee the IT infrastructure
* Deign LAN/WAN networksThe Senior Network Administrator shall possess the following capabilities: * Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
* Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
* Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected
* Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks
* Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users
* Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systemsQualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Systems, or Network Engineering and at least five (5) years of demonstrable experience in network (LAN/WAN) configuration, monitoring, security, and protection. Or the individual shall have five (5) years of full time CS work that can be substituted for the Bachelor' s degree and at least five (5) years of demonstrable experience in network (LAN/WAN) configuration, monitoring, security, and protection.Certifications Required: * IAT Level 2 Certification RequiredPosition requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
