Description:

Job Description
  • Provide technical expertise and support for network integration and consolidation across various system environments.
  • Prepare and review technical implementation plans, outlining integrated solutions, actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths.
  • Address and resolve technical issues related to the installation and upgrade of network hardware and systems.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and technical teams to analyze business and technical requirements, including establishing new circuits.
  • Develop and present technical briefings, engineering standards, operating procedures, and status reports to senior leadership.
  • Participate in the development of network architecture, engineering designs, and system changes.
  • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for current and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with partners across various technologies to de-conflict efforts, identify innovation opportunities, and improve efficiency and operability.
  • Communicate effectively with customers on matters of significant importance to the organization.
  • Successfully complete individual projects and tasks within deadlines.


Requirements

  • Education: BS degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10-13 years of relevant experience.
  • Clearance: Active DOD TS/SCI level security clearance, eligible for w/CI Poly.
  • Certifications: IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).
  • Ability to translate highly technical matters to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Deep technical knowledge in network services and architecture (WAN/LAN/VPN).
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Cisco Switches and routers
    • S2S connections
    • DMVPNs
    • Advanced routing (BGP)
    • Palo Alto Firewalls
    • AWS network design and implementations (VPCs, Route 53, Amazon Firewall Services).
  • Decision-making ability with appropriate escalation when necessary.
  • Extensive experience in security domains and industry best practices, including business continuity, disaster recovery, and emerging technology.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with DISA and DISA's support to mission partners.
  • Proficiency in cloud-hosted networks.
  • Master's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
