Role Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer will be solely responsible for the design, planning, implementation, of the physical and virtual software components that comprise the core network infrastructure of the enterprise. This includes networking components, server infrastructure, cloud/enterprise storage systems, and backup/disaster recovery. This role requires a highly experienced professional who can operate independently with minimal supervision, proactively identifying and resolving issues, optimizing network performance, and driving infrastructure improvements. The Senior Network Engineer will also serve as a key escalation point for complex technical issues and will collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless operations across the enterprise.

Accountable for:
Designing, planning, and implementing improvements to the virtual infrastructure with a strategic, long-term approach.
Guiding the network communication infrastructure, including LAN and WAN technologies, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
Overseeing, managing, and optimizing the enterprise storage solution while proactively addressing capacity planning needs.
Lead efforts for enterprise backup solution, including disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure business continuity.
Conducting routine audits of hardware and software on network infrastructure, ensuring full compliance with established standards, policies, and best practices.
Incident analysis and determining root causes of network and infrastructure issues.
Managing after-hours, weekend, and holiday work for outages, emergency situations, and critical system updates as required.

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
Deep expertise in troubleshooting TCP/IP protocols and understanding OSI-layer telecom principles.
Extensive experience with IP routing and switching technologies, including TCP/IP, IPv4 subnetting, VLANs, and ePLAN.
Expertise with Azure, Fortinet, Meraki, Veeam, and Nutanix.
Industry certifications such as Fortinet FCP, Network+, A+, Security+, Nutanix NCP, or other network-related certifications preferred.
