The Senior Network Security Consultant will be expected to execute on deployments, designs, and other professional services duties while constantly working to increase their knowledge and expertise. Senior Network Security Consultant is expected to know their focal technologies well enough to understand how to deploy into a multitude of situations. Additionally, they should be able to understand and mitigate any difficulties the deployment may cause further down the wire.
Responsibilities:
Conduct professional services engagements
Implementation, and/or management of security tools, infrastructure and applications tasked with protecting computers, networks, software, data, and/or information systems against viruses, worms, spyware, malware, intrusion detection, unauthorized access, denial-of-service attacks.
Deliver on several network security services projects
Provide clients with tactical and strategic guidance
Provide leadership and mentoring on team projects
Team support and technical guidance
Assist other team members when they are faced with difficult technical issues
Assist sales teams on scoping of projects
Primary skills required:
Professional with 5 or more years of experience in information security and/or product implementation and deployment experience.
Experience with a variety of operating systems, including Windows or Linux.
Experience with general networking concepts such as routing, switching, packet flow, network design, networking diagramming, and other related concepts.
Experience with various security tools (e.g. NMap, metasploit, backtrack, Ixia, Nessus, Qualys)
Considerable experience in 2 or more of the following:
Firewall technologies ( Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper)
SIEM solutions (QRadar, Arcsight, LogRhythm, RSA Security Analytics)
Web and Email Gateways (McAfee, Blue Coat, Websense)
Endpoint Security (Such as Bit9. Carbon Black, Solidcore, SEP/CSP)
