Position: Sr Engineer
Experience: Min 10 years
University degree: Master in packaging / food / related degree
Working experience: Focus on liquid UHT packaging as well as being preferably knowledgeable with dairy food.

Working closely with our strong technical team of experts and managers, both regionally and globally, this role will require exceptional leadership qualities and technical skills on UHT / aseptic filling, ensuring Upfield continues to be at the forefront of packaging technologies and innovation.
This role will be responsible for the implementation of new packaging lines for UHT / aseptic fillers, part of Flora Food Group Cream's portfolio. You will be part of the team responsible to deliver and implement the new lines in a newly acquired factory, contributing to the overall success of the Packaging R&D function in the project.
In this role, you will inject passion and bring strong initiative to make a huge positive impact in the project team. You will be encouraged to bring new insights, approaches and innovative technologies to the business to further strengthen the packaging portfolio and offers.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
You are an experienced and passionate Packaging R&D person, with more than 10 years expertise in the field, particularly within UHT / Aseptic filled products.
You have a Bachelor's degree and a proven ability to work autonomously and in a team role, effectively communicating with all areas of the business, including marketing and supply chain, and collaborating with various regions.
Your entrepreneurial spirit drives you to explore new and uncharted territories, embracing change and challenges with an unconventional and innovative mindset.
Your technical skills will bring clarity and support on the project team and procurement, to find the best suppliers for UHT / Aseptic filling technologies.
Knowledge on USDA regulations is a plus.
You have demonstrated skill in managing packaging and product innovation, identifying and delivering impactful business and consumer-optimized structural and functional packaging solutions.
Your experience includes overseeing packaging products in the market, maintaining and growing existing businesses, and driving productivity and cost optimization. With a deep understanding of the product development process, you adeptly manage key partners, such as design and engineering consultancies, toolmakers, and material converters.

- Manage the agreed packaging projects which will devise and deliver the global and regional packaging roadmap for the portfolio produced in the newly acquired facility.
- Work in partnership with a wide range of internal partners; Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, R&D, ESG and Quality teams along with key external partners globally, to effectively drive the packaging projects.
