We are seeking a highly skilled Pega Developer to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating enterprise workloads using Pega technology. This role requires a deep understanding of Pega and experience with integrations with other applications for data exchange with Pega-based applications

Our Senior Developer position is great for an individual who is self-motivated, has a love of learning, and collaboration. In this position you will help develop the application framework for our business partners, collaborate and guide team members on large application development and can help lead a high-energy development team.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for developing BPM/BRE business applications using Pega with design, coding, configuration, testing, and maintenance of software deliverables using specified standards and tools.
  • Works with Architects to ensure the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches customer technical and functional requirements
  • Implements Pega solutions requiring integration of multiple crosscutting, enterprise-wide platforms, operating systems and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows.
  • Creates & Manages TSPi Pega Platform best practices and share those practices with other teams
  • Supports Architects in identifying where the Pega Platform best fits in the architecture
  • Executes Strategy for Automation & Workflow Management
  • Understands business needs and implements solutions to enable the desired capabilities.
  • Collaborates with architects on the creation and application of technical roadmaps, standards, tooling and frameworks required to create a modern, high quality, rich application suite.
  • Ensures that solutions delivered have an excellent customer experience, are secure and scalable, comply with best practices and open standards.
  • Look for ways to utilize modern technologies to solve business problems including but not limited to automation.
  • Stays abreast of external trends and new functionality to be released by third party/cloud solutions, identifying and socializing opportunities for expanded business applicability
  • Ensures application solution conforms to agreed upon quality attributes such as performance, fault tolerance, etc.
  • Ensures product backlog has appropriate technical stories and participates in their prioritization
  • Supports implementation of Technology Roadmap and related backlog prioritization, planning, and execution to manage architectural uncertainties
  • Responsible for application quality from design and implementation to deploy and run.
  • Evaluates technical impacts from and coordinates implementation of new product releases.
  • Participates in sizing and estimation activities with the agile team
  • Focuses on delivering business priority and value at all times

Required Skills/Experience
  • Must hold the Pega Certified Senior System Architect Certification (CSSA) or the Certified Lead System Architect certification.
  • 4+ years working experience "Post" SSA certification.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of Pega concepts such as Rule resolution, Class Structure design, low-code, scalability, and reusability.
  • Must have hands on experience on Pega Core concepts like User Interface, User experience, Skin rule, Case design, Data modeling, Data pages, Reporting, Integration (REST & SOAP), Agents, Security and Pega Unit test framework.
  • Understand, analyze & debug using Pega logs and Alert logs.
  • Ability to use, understand & debug HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Should have knowledge on 508/Accessibility.
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Demonstrated experience applying a logical, analytical approach to problem solving and pays close attention to detail
  • Experience in Agile development/methodologies, Test Automation and TDD, CI/CD, DevOps
  • High focus on quality; holds self and others to high standards of delivery
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Collaborate with the Product team in creation of Acceptance Criteria for stories following Agile practices
  • Design and develop manual and automated tests
  • Collaborate and help guide other developers to sharing knowledge and improving overall product/solution
  • Regularly archive source code in GIT, code repository, for projects
  • Interface with geographically disperse teams across the United States

Education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job-related experience required
  • 5+ years hands on programming experience

Preferred experience:
  • Experience with CI/CD such as Jenkins and BitBucket or GitHub
  • Experience with test automation, unit test writing and execution
  • Experience with security and identity management
  • Experience working on an Agile team

Must be able to obtain a DoD Clearance.
