As a Senior Platform Engineer your focus will center around cloud enabled resources to build and assist with maintaining cloud resources that host software to meet business and customer needs. You will be participating in the design, creation and maintaining of these services that will enable consistent and safe delivery of products in cloud environments. You will interact daily with various teams across HCA Healthcare Parallon to help them along their journey to adopting cloud.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and take workflow direction from manager, senior engineers, and product leadership.
Follow design best practices and assist troubleshooting design related issues.
Follow service management standards for cloud.
Hands on Experience building resources within major cloud providers
Experience with Containerization/Containerized Apps
Develop and maintain pipelines, Devops
Should be able to read application code (YAML, Bash, .Net, python)
Hands on Experience with Hashicorp Product (Terraform, Vault)
Experience with Github/GitLab Actions/ runners
Follow and understand cloud reference architectures.
Assist with the development of automated tools / scripts for use across the enterprise.
Assist with the development / implementation of cloud products.
Execute and maintain standard infrastructure as code modules for reuse by development teams and other business units.
Participate on a team designing, developing and testing IaC solutions for IaaS and PaaS solutions for on-prem or Cloud platforms
Work closely with customers to develop robust and reusable configuration management components
Support workload migration activities to cloud.
Adherence to all HCA Healthcare standards and policies
What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems - Preferred
EXPERIENCE
5 or more years of experience in a Systems Engineering, Architecture, or Development - Required
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience could be considered
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Terraform Associate - Required
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - Preferred
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals - Preferred
Google Cloud Engineer - Preferred
Google Cloud Architect - Preferred
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
Growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks - Required
Knowledge of frameworks and software/cloud design patterns used for implementing software solutions - Required
Experience with automation of CI/CD pipelines - Required
Knowledge of system architecture - Required
Knowledge and experience related to SRE principles - Preferred

Understanding of agile methodology and software development lifecycles - Required
Experience in cloud native, deploying within cloud environments, serverless development and/or container-based solutions -Required
