We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer for Red Hat OpenShift to join our Supply Chain Modernization team. The ideal candidate should have experience in AWS and cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include developing container operators for automation and security, and assisting development teams in containerizing applications while collaborating with project stakeholders to meet goals. What You'll Do

Build & Maintain Scalable Automation Pipelines
  • Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines using Tekton, ArgoCD, and GitOps best practices.
  • Automate infrastructure and application deployment through Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
  • Drive continuous integration and deployment excellence to increase velocity and reliability.

Lead Cloud Infrastructure & Governance
  • Develop and implement policies for cloud services usage, ensuring secure, compliant, and cost-effective operations.
  • Manage cloud service requests, optimize configurations, and ensure availability and performance.

Secure & Optimize IT Operations
  • Establish and maintain secure environments using AWS and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Apply expert-level knowledge in Linux systems administration and Red Hat App Foundations (Kafka, 3Scale).
  • Utilize Dynatrace to proactively monitor and troubleshoot performance issues.

What You Bring

Technical Expertise
  • 8+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure automation, and cloud engineering (degree may be substituted with relevant experience).
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools and practices, including GitOps, Terraform, scripting, and Ansible.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services and cloud security principles.
  • Solid experience in Linux systems and Red Hat OpenShift ecosystem (Kafka, 3Scale).

Automation & Observability
  • Proven hands-on experience building pipelines and automation workflows.
  • Strong familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace for observability and performance tuning.

Collaboration & Agility
  • Ability to manage cloud service requests and advise on appropriate solutions.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in agile, DevOps-driven environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with InterSystems IRIS and enterprise data platforms.
  • Proficiency in backend development using Java or Python, and containerized environments (Docker, Git).
  • Previous work in IT operations & maintenance within Federal Government projects-Veteran's Administration (VA) experience highly valued.
  • Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one (moderate Tier 2 level).

Home Office Requirements
  • A minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps for downloads and 1.5 Mbps for uploads is required.
  • A private Wi-Fi network with a strong, unique password is necessary to access company data or systems.
  • The company provides a monthly stipend to support internet expenses. All new employees must conduct an internet speed test and submit the results during the onboarding process. Additionally, ensure that the network password is not set to the default provided by the router.
