The Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst is responsible for security transactions capture, processing, pricing, corporate actions and settlement, client versus counterparty reconciliation, and related problem resolutions with trading counterparties for a group of complex investment funds, on behalf of a base of challenging institutional clients.
Essential Functions
General Responsibilities
- Security transactions capture, processing, pricing, corporate actions processing
- Support Analysts with pricing & valuing portfolio(s)
- Work with brokers and investment managers to investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks
- Partner with internal accountants to ensure valuation integrity
- Improve and enhance processes and procedures
- Involved in ongoing development of Portfolio Management System
- Monitors, maintains and meets the tight reporting deadlines and demanding obligations of our clients and assist with transparency reporting preparation
- Produces various internal/external reports relating to trading and investment performance on a timely and accurate basis
- Deliver accurate daily, weekly and monthly position and cash reconciliations
- Settlement related problem resolution with trading counter parties

Job Qualifications
- A university graduate with a degree in Maths, Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 2+years' experience in a similar role working with complex securities and derivatives products
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Technical knowledge of alternative investment products, the offshore financial services industry including system technology, portfolio valuation, accounting, share transfer and registration, prime brokerage, financing and custody
- A sound working knowledge of all Windows applications and ideally, knowledge of fund accounting applications
- Self-driven attitude and a strong work ethic
- Demonstrate a keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team orientation
- Experience of relationship management and client service
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
