Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction team in developing project estimates and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids and proposals.
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to determine project requirements and constraints.
- Manage the preparation of detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for all trades involved in multi-family, assisted living, and commercial construction projects.
- Facilitate value engineering sessions to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all contract requirements and local regulations throughout the preconstruction phase.
- Prepare and present bids and proposals to stakeholders, highlighting key project details and financial implications.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in preconstruction management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, bidding processes, and construction methods.
- Experience with take-offs and cost estimation for multi-family and commercial projects, particularly assisted living facilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficient in industry software and tools related to project management and estimation.
