Job Description:
Hazen is seeking a candidate in our Colorado Springs, CO office to provide conveyance and process mechanical design for water and wastewater projects. Qualified candidates should have an interest in hydraulics and hydrology, alignment analysis, pipeline design, pump station design, water and wastewater plant design, diversion and intake design, and condition assessment and rehabilitation. The candidate must also have good communication skills. Candidate will serve as a designer and project manager on projects for water and wastewater projects. Responsibilities include executing redline markups, laying out pipeline alignments, laying out pipeline vertical profile, evaluating alternative alignments, hydraulic analysis (including surge), pipeline material evaluation, process mechanical design with facilities, design calculations, and interaction with engineers from other disciplines. - Experience with business development and proposals is desired
- Experience managing design and overall project management is desired
- Experience with water/wastewater process design is a plus
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software is desired
- Experience managing small design teams and task on projects is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is required
- 8-12 years of experience required
Educational Requirements:
- Having your Colorado PE, or obtaining with 3 months, is required

- Though the position will be based out of Colorado Springs, the employee will be strongly integrated into out our 90+ staff located in Hazen's Lakewood and Greenwood Village (Denver Tech Center) offices and have the opportunity to work on regional and national projects with a focus on Colorado Springs and southern Colorado.
