Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized, award-winning professional services consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Process Electrical Engineer to join our growing industrial electrical engineering group. In this role, you'll lead process electrical design for a mix of exciting small-to-medium or larger-scale Food & Beverage projects-from the early proposal phase through to project closeout. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment and is ready to take ownership of design leadership and client interaction.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading electrical engineering designs across concept, preliminary, and detailed phases
  • Designing raceways and low-voltage motor/device wiring systems
  • Creating device-level network architectures and control panel layouts
  • Preparing technical memos, reports, and scope of work documentation
  • Performing equipment specification and bid solicitation
  • Supporting project schedules, cost estimates, and proposal labor estimates
  • Attending and participating in client meetings (some travel required)
  • Overseeing construction verification and system startup
  • Mentoring technicians and supporting CAD drawing development
  • Using design software including AutoCAD and specialty tools (SKM, Easypower, etc.)


What You'll Bring to the Table

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited program)
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in an engineering consulting environment
  • A valid driver's license


Preferred:
  • Experience working on Food & Beverage or industrial facilities projects
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SKM and/or Easypower, and Visual Lighting software
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills
  • Active PE license or in pursuit of PE licensure
