Technical/Functional Responsibilities
- Technical consultant to a broad range of international customers to determine proper applications for Eriez' flotation equipment to suit customer needs
- Management of flotation testing programs at Eriez' global flotation laboratory including project management, data analysis, reporting, and presentation of results
- Lead and mentor junior and intermediate engineers
- Participation in pilot-scale test programs at customer sites in support of global capital equipment sales opportunities
- Inspection of equipment installation at customer sites, and participation in start-up and commissioning duties
- Support of North America aftermarket services including visits to customer sites and process assessments to optimize column performance and debottleneck circuit capacity
- Determination of flotation flow sheets and circuit configuration, including sizing of Eriez' flotation equipment
- Preparation of process engineering deliverables for capital equipment orders, including P&IDs, instrument lists, instrument data sheets, control philosophy, instrument and spares list and instrument data sheets
- Support product development and commercialization efforts in support of global product management organization
- Lead the preparation of technical proposals
- Preparation of technical papers and presentations based on work conducted
- Domestic and International Travel (Can be up to 25%, at times for up to 2 weeks)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university (e.g. mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, chemical, materials, etc.)
- Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university is desirable
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in the USA is desirable
- 8-10 years mining industry experience in an engineering and/or operations role
- Familiarity with mineral processing concepts (especially froth flotation), practices, and procedures
- Communication and leadership skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem-solve are essential to the role
- Detail orientated, organized with strong planning and coordination skills
- Able to respond quickly to change and adapt to new requirements
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to effectively multitask, prioritize activities and deliver work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Autocad
- Fluency in English with good verbal and written skills
- Able to communicate in other languages is an asset (e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin, etc.)
- Able to travel internationally to perform site visits and support business meetings
