Summary

Temporal is an incredibly exciting and quickly growing start-up. We are looking for someone awesome to join our design team and leap frog the industry to help us revolutionize the way developers around the world build applications. Not only is this a fantastic opportunity to get in early at a transformative and paradigm shifting start up, but you'll also have a huge impact on the development of a unicorn brand. We recently announced our Series B valuation at $1.5 Billion. You'll have an exciting and holistic scope of the product experience supporting both open-source projects and the managed services Temporal Cloud offering.

What You'll Do

• Leading Temporal's product experience with a focus on user onboarding, optimizing sign up conversion funnel, and enhancing in-app guidance to drive engagement and retention.
• Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the user experience while ensuring accessibility and compliance with WCAG Level AA 2.0 standards.
• Conduct user research, analyze findings, and extract key insights to guide and refine design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to plan, validate, and iterate on project scope and delivery.
• Create low and high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to collect user feedback and validate concepts.

What You'll Need

• You are a self-starter with a passion for tackling new challenges.
• You have experience building products with a strong emphasis on product-led growth.
• You are super passionate about building accessible, usable, and high-quality products that delight users.
• You are happiest when working remotely, but are open to travel once a quarter to meet with the team.
• You enjoy collaborating with other Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, and subject matter experts to produce something you'll be proud of in a timely manner.
• Above all else, you are a highly motivated team player who thrives on having ownership over core parts of the user experience in an exciting, ambitious, and fast-paced company.
• 4+ years of professional experience building digital products and working in a creative environment.
• Highly proficiency using Figma and Illustrator.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Understanding of coding languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and developer tools like GitHub and Terminal.

Compensation

• The estimated pay range for this role is $158,100 - $223,000
• This role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan

Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process.
