NOV's Pressure Pumping and Cementing group is committed to offering best-in-class products to domestic and international markets.

This role is an opportunity for you to play a pivotal part in developing our new technologies, helping to create innovative products by combining both electrical and mechanical engineering principles.

This role is a keystone position for product development with NOV, focused on new technologies for Intervention and Stimulation equipment. Working with a team of established engineers to help create new technologies, you will focus on bringing new values to Oil and Gas, emphasizing efficiencies, value, and reliability.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • New product development engineering
  • Participate in the creative process of idea development
  • Think critically about challenges and help drive solutions
  • Organize tasks to de-risk projects
  • Communicate your ideas effectively
  • Analyze prospective ideas and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop complex 3D models
  • Understand 3D model assemblies and how assembly trees are organized in modeling software
  • Utilize 2D software to develop schematics
  • Create manufactured and machined drawings utilizing the principles of GD&T
  • Create BOMs to convey material selections and to clearly identify part hierarchy
  • Quickly adapt to changing project requirements and provide multiple solutions to problems
  • Use iterative design methods that strive for continuous improvement
  • Integrate electrical engineering principles with mechanical designs to develop comprehensive product solutions

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 4-year technical degree required: Electrical Preferred
  • Demonstrated achievements or leadership
  • Skilled in SolidWorks
  • Skilled in AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM standards as they pertain to design drafting, material selection, and standard part catalogues
  • Understand part tolerancing as it applies to a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Mathcad, VBA, or other advanced math programs
  • FEA and CFD experience
