WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

RBC's Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS) technology services team is seeking a Product Manager to help manage and prioritize work within various applications that are internally facing. This role will work collaboratively with internal clients and oversee workloads to ensure projects objectives are achieved. You will be heavily involved in shaping the future technology landscape of RBC Capital markets, by delivering key business values for multiple transformational projects in Business & Client Services Technology.

This role is responsible for ideation, management, and oversight of implementation of key parts of the Business & Client Services Technology platform. You will accomplish this by teamwork, having a can-do mindset with a hands-on approach and focus on details. You will need to be an expert level organizer to resolve things in a structural manner that provides clarity and direction. You are not afraid of challenging the team on technical details and be able to think functionally.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Highly skilled and knowledgeable lead who will work to transform our Business & Client Services Technology
  • Document and Build specifications and act as a contributor across the team.
  • Work with business on prioritization to deliver against multiple ongoing transformations.
  • Look for economies of scale across projects and be able to understand the details.
  • Create low fidelity mocks to help paint pictures for internal and external group clients.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:
  • Undergraduate degree coupled with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
  • Strong organizational, product/project management and time management capabilities.
  • A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, technology and/or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation with Python (or Excel)
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; Proven ability to manage a diverse book of work across multiple projects.


Nice-to-have:
  • Startup experience.
  • Understanding of 360 degrees of Capital Markets.
  • Knowledge of Accounting, Sub-Ledgers & Payments, FinTech, DeFi, Crypto & Blockchain.
  • Agile/Scrum development methodology experience.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
