In this position you will have the opportunity to:- Manageand execute marketing efforts for the Structural Solutions (STS)/OSB business across all product lines.
- Manage team of Product Manager(s); marketing analyst; Construction Services managers
- Lead all field sales initiatives from a marketing standpoint
- Lead sales planning and opportunities for the program business
- Lead trainings/events from a Structural Solutions standpoint on items such as: International Sales and Marketing Meeting /New hire trainings/Road shows/Region Sales meetings/Retail trainings, etc.
- Works alongside Account Managers / Sales Managers to surface sales opportunities and develop programs
- Develop comprehensive product line strategy specifically for STS that aligns with business unit strategy and overall company goals
- Champion execution of strategic plan to further grow our dealer strategy, including new product development
- May provide direction and lead execution for new product development and/or software development, services and solutions from ideation up to launch, following the LP new product development process, including developing and testing concepts, ensuring product development delivers on the concept, and ensuring an appropriate testing plan is implemented
- May identify and lead product development projects with cooperation from Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering, all customer levels, suppliers and other key business contacts; as well as Software development projects with cooperation from IT, vendors, all customer levels, and other key business contacts
- Deliver revenue and profit targets for assigned $100 50-200 million dollar (revenue) business segment by acting as the liaison between Sales and Operations, managing costs, growing profitable product lines or SKUs, and other initiatives.
- Execute pricing strategies that optimize revenue and profit by managing price lists, price zones, price increases, rebates and allowances, and special pricing allowances (SPAs) with the appropriate pricing manager
- Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly volumes and pricing for assigned product lines by using business knowledge, statistical techniques, historical data, and sales input.
- Pioneer and develop new accounts and markets as needed per business strategy, including selecting segments and accounts to target, developing target list, leading execution, making personal calls, and other action required to achieve the objective.
- Analyze and optimize routes to market in coordination with overall company channel strategy for assigned product lines
- Coordinate all elements of marketing communications for assigned product lines, engaging corporate marketing, agency, public relations, and other resources to execute a well-coordinated plan.
- Manage direct marketing budget of approximately $1-2 million for assigned product lines
- Lead cross functional teams to flawlessly execute major projects, including sales blitzes, new product launches, major promotions, product repositioning, and other key initiatives.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with strategic customers and vendors in order to meet market needs, reduce response time, and facilitate flawless execution.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
- 9+ years of previous sales, marketing or management experience
- Direct OSB experience preferred
- Or anyequivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
