Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Product Quality Leader, Electrical with a strong background in automotive electrical systems and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) to oversee and drive the quality assurance efforts related to quality assurance efforts. This individual will support the Quality & Customer Satisfaction team at their site in Greensboro, NC.
The Quality & Customer Satisfaction team ensures the product quality performance within a determined scope through investigating and prioritizing market product quality issues.
The Product Quality Leader secures the voice of the customer in the problem-solving processes through investigation & knowledge management.
This demands high levels of product/commodity knowledge, along with problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work with global colleagues across the engineering, manufacturing, purchasing & field service network. This role is specifically dedicated to the electrical commodity. This role is also responsible for achieving product quality goals and metrics for fault frequency and warranty costs.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Search, detect and quantify actively & preventively customer quality issues at an early stage via enhanced analytics.
Prioritizing quality actions related to electrical components to achieve committed quality targets for assigned products.
Lead, analyze, and report on Diagnostic Trouble Codes related to electrical systems, focusing on identifying patterns, understanding customer impact, and ensuring proper quality solving methods are assigned where appropriate.
Actively search for rapid containment actions & recommend appropriate quality solving tool for an identified field issue.
Initiate, coordinate, and prioritize quality actions inside design Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
Clear written and oral communication required to supporting presentations and reporting on product quality investigations within the company.
Check effectiveness of implemented Quality solving solutions
Request external campaign based on technical description and present at the External Campaign Committee
Identify potential safety related issue upon field report / claim received and communicate to Safety Investigator.
Requirements
Qualifications of a successful candidate include:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
5 years of automotive industry experience
Proficiency with Data Analysis and general knowledge of statistics and statistical concepts
Dependability, Reliability and Teachability
Experience in Aftermarket activities and support
Cross-functional team leadership or project management experience
Judgement abilities for prioritizing issues adding value for both customer and brand
Ability to quickly gain credibility and establish positive relationships / networking
Business and customer focus (internal and external)
Excellent communications skills, verbally & written
Fluent in English language
Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required
