Provides support for moderately complex technical and team management activities related to system and database administration.Essential Job Functions Performs moderately complex systems and database administration. Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance. Oversees appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages. Collects and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyzes capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems. Coordinates with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes. Supports the design and configuration of complex system landscapes. Supports complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations. Plans, coordinates and directs appropriate level data refresh strategies. Oversees, recommends and implements appropriate level database solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance. Oversees and applies appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity. Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current. Oversees the maintenance of a library of system-supporting process and procedure documentation. Interacts with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred Six or more years of experience in a client-server environment Experience working with appropriate complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance Experience working with company products and services Experience working with company and client documentation and storage procedures Experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processes Other Qualifications Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good communication skills Good personal computer and business solutions software skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment Office environment May require on-call, shift, weekend and evening work
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
5+ years years of Oracle WebLogic 14 Application Server Administration experience
5+ years of Oracle Fusion Middleware administration experience, including WebLogic Application Server,Tomcat, Confluent, Kafka and Apex
Apply patches and perform upgrades of middleware components in a controlled manner.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and system administrators to support application deployments.
3+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail
3+ years of experience deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
3+ years of experience working in an environment with automated CI/CD pipelines
Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills
Excellent working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies
Experience working with third party service providers such as vendors and internal support groups
Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution
Ability to plan and implement change for enterprise systems and adhere to standard change management processes
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator Certification Overview
3-5 years of Unix/Linux System Administration experience
Experience administering Apex, Apache and confluent Middleware platforms
Experience working in an outsources/managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities (e.g. technical discussions with the client)
Familiarity with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket) and other DevOps tools
Strong working knowledge of Local and Wide area networking technologies
Experience supporting fast-paced development environments utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies
Ability to communicate complex technical information to less technical staff (e.g. management and client staff)
Strong understanding of broader technology context (e.g. network and database technologies)
Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical outages.
