Leader of Program Management Team (Iron Triangle).
Senior program Manager leads large and complex program development, works with the Product Development Engineer and Advance Quality Engineer to quote, develop and launch new automotive glass products for OEMs. The senior PM will communicate directly with the customer on all matters concerning the initial launch of Windshields, Backlights, Doors, Quarter windows, and Sunroofs. Represent Fuyao at customer development events and meetings. Maintain documents in accordance with Fuyao policies, APQP and Customer deliverables. III. Job Functions and Duties NO.Representative Duties1Responsible for managing multiple significant and complex new product's development cycle with high problem solving and strategic thinking skills.2New Product Launch - Automotive Glass -
Capable of handling OEM Customers and multiple programs/window openings.3Communication single point contact with OEM customers. Internal leader of Iron Triangle and OEM program.
Several forms of communication are required: face-to-face meetings, emails, texts, WeChat, verbal, written forms, etc.4Key Player / Value stream leader for the OEM customer - "Voice of the Customer" for internal processes and proceedings.
Organize internal teammates and processes to fulfill and support customer deliverables.5Attend Customer build events and meetings as appropriate; International travel and some overnights are expected. Depending on the program phase and customer expectations, travel could be up to 25% in a given fiscal quarter.6Maintaining the program budget is a central requirement. This includes components, tooling, equipment and packaging purchases.
Responsible for COST: from Quote to Invoice. Input customer orders into ERP system - PLEX.7Creator of timing charts, ensure ON TIME delivery of products to the customer.
Back-up plan and expedited delivery schedules. Offset of delays 8Within first 90 days - acquire product and process knowledge - commensurate with leadership role. Understand and be able to present to customer management core product lines. 9Mentor and guide junior program managers 10Other duties as assigned11Nothing in the Position Description restricts management's right to assign or re-assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any timeIV. QualificationJob RequirementsLanguageDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
Languages spoken in the workplace are English and Mandarin.
ExperienceMore than 10 years automotive manufacturing experience, with 5-8 of Tier-1 OEM program launching experience.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Previous positions of demonstrated dynamic matrix management, budget controls and timing chart creation.EducationBachelor of Science in Engineering fields or Business Management.
Masters degree is preferred.Physical ConditionSafety FIRST! Mindset is required.
Ability to walk or move around the plant for extended periods of time. Some lifting up to 35 lbs. with assistance is expected. Other RequirementsCOMPUTER SKILLS - MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Preferred MS Project skilled.
Outlook is the email client. Also use of Skype, and SharePoint navigation.
Knowledge of and familiarity MRP/ERP software. Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed footwear.
