ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Administers the Supplier quality auditing system and is responsible for evaluation of suppliers.
- Maintains quality assurance surveys, on-site surveys, and vendor rating reports.
- Creates and revises quality procedures and policies.
- Writes quality plans and assigns inspection levels based on contractual requirements.
- Reviews Gichner procurement specifications to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Provides supervision and support to receiving inspection, including interpretation of specifications and performance evaluations.
- Administers Notice of Defective Material (NDM) system.
- Reviews nonconformances, determines/concurs on disposition, and analyzes trends and costs.
- Analyzes and implements corrective action requests, and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly cost of quality reports. Reviews drawings for Configuration Management as needed.
- Acts as backup for other Quality Engineering functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA in technical field, or equivalent experience
- ASQ certified Quality Engineer or equivalent experience or ASQ certified Quality Auditor or equivalent certification or experience
- 8+ years' experience in quality engineering role - at least 2-years at a senior level .
- SPC experience and/or training; geometric tolerancing; ISO 9000 auditor training
