We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer / Geologist / Hydrogeologist with a strong background in investigation and remediation projects to join our expanding Environmental practice in Irvine, California.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the Environmental practice with the ability to step in and immediately manage various environmental projects.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables and review and analyze data throughout the construction phase.
  • Work with internal and external team members to produce successful projects.
  • Assemble and manage multi-disciplinary project teams and provide technical guidance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Coordinate with client representatives, regulatory and external stakeholders, and technical subconsultants.
  • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
  • Participate in proposal preparation, client interviews, and contract negotiations.
  • Participate in professional associations, including presenting technical papers or participating as a technical committee member.
  • Engage in business development and related activities to foster new business opportunities.


Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, geology, or hydrogeology (master's degree preferred).
  • Professional Engineer or Geologist license in the State of California or be able to obtain license following employment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, technicians, designers, engineers, owners, and other project managers for the preparation of high-quality work products.
  • Ability to review and edit technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives, as well as client expectations.
  • Demonstrated time management skills, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently when necessary.
  • Demonstrated skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Ability to assign and manage work.
  • Effective mentoring skills.

The expected compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
