WATG is hiring a Senior Project Landscape Architect for our office in Dallas, Texas.

ROLE

Licensed Landscape Architect who is responsible to design and develop landscape architectural documentation including: plans, sections, details, and specifications for hardscapes, site structures, and softscapes. The Senior Project Landscape Architect works on a wide range of projects from landscape master plans to site specific built projects of varying scale and complexity. The Senior Project Landscape Architect directs work assignments to a diverse project team as well as coordinates with clients, consultants, agencies, and contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides studio-wide design and technical leadership to the team on project deliverables and design strategy
  • Works on a diverse array of projects of varying scope, scale and complexity
  • Develops and coordinates all facets of project design, from conceptual design through construction documentation
  • Completes site analysis studies and diagrams
  • Coordinates illustrative plans and renderings
  • Validates that the design idea is properly executed and conforms to the contractual agreement with the client
  • Develops and reviews the production of drawings and models according to established standards
  • Coordinates with consultants, including architects, designers, and engineers
  • Provides expertise on landscape architectural technical drawings
  • Provides Quality Assurance and Quality Control for the landscape studio
  • Prepares project proposals and responds to request for qualifications
  • Provides various pre-design services, including programing and entitlement support
  • Responsible for the implementation of processes that reduce risk and exposure
  • Develops design and technical standards and workflows
  • Provides leadership for the design process to ensure design continuity
  • Effectively manages the team and ensures the effective utilization of resources and the quality of work
  • Manage and collaborates with clients, consultants, contractors, and project team members
  • Delegates work to Landscape Designers across project teams
  • Takes responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices
  • Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture
  • 15+ years of experience on a range of landscape architecture project types, including master planning, resort hospitality, and urban design
  • Landscape Architecture license required
  • Environmental accreditation preferred
  • Proficiency in software skills, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite. Revit and Rhino (preferred)
  • Experienced in client management and project management
  • Ability to work in a team environment and supervise others effectively
  • Manages multiple project priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines consistently
  • Highly effective communication skills in verbal presentation and written narrative
