What we're looking for:
Nexamp is seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager to support the construction of Midwest solar projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you are an experienced project manager with vast contract and project management experience, as well as experience developing and building solar PV plants. You will play an extensive role in managing third-party project construction, ensuring the sites are built to Nexamp standards and in accordance with contract documents and drawings. You will also play a key role as Nexamp grows into new and developing markets. We are accepting candidates across Illinois. You will report to the Manager, Construction Program.

What you'll do:
- Plan, budget, manage, and complete turn-key solar PV projects of greater complexity and challenge, project portfolios, or strategic opportunities.
- Review, track, and communicate with EPC contractors to ensure all contract deliverables are met in a timely manner.
- Mentor and train new and current Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Construction Superintendents including Nexamp SOP's and Procore management tools.
- Provide due diligence reviews of development and contract documents prior to construction to identify any risks or discrepancies with Nexamp standards.
- Review for accuracy and approve project invoices for all third-party EPC contracts.
- Take on and problem-solve the most difficult projects.
- Manage construction risk across our portfolio by reviewing COIs, lien waivers, BOLs, warranty documentation, project reporting, etc., and taking action as needed.
- Diligently monitor and manage contractor progress, deliverables, schedule, and budget across a large portfolio of projects.
- Work with field personnel to ensure the quality of delivered systems and conformance to Nexamp standards.
- Minimize Nexamp's exposure and risk across project development and implementation.
- Provide a link between internal and external stakeholders and maintain open lines of communication between the same.
- Maintain an awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential applications for client engagements.
What you'll bring:
- 8+ years of construction management, preferably in the solar industry, with a successful track record in project management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications plans.
- Working knowledge of various areas of construction (civil construction, electrical construction, utility construction).
- Knowledge of OSHA Safety standards; OSHA 10 is a minimum requirement.
- Maintain professional licenses in trade (i.e. CSL, NABCEP PV, etc.).
- Highly developed electrical and PV-related troubleshooting skills and expertise.
- Strong administrative skills including the use of computers, Microsoft Office, data acquisition systems, SCADA, remote computing, Procore, and various other construction management tools.
- Extensive experience in commissioning PV systems and storage is a plus.
- Understanding of medium voltage systems and equipment is a plus.
- 4-year college degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- Valid and current Driver's License.
- Willingness to travel at least 50% is required.

- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
