Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong blend of technical and functional expertise in HRIS and Human Resources (HR) Operations to lead complex, cross-functional projects. This role will play a critical part in managing and optimizing our HR systems landscape, with an initial priority to lead the rollout and continuous improvement of enhanced project management and tracking processes/tool across the Human Resources function.

You will work across HR, IT, Finance, and other stakeholder groups to introduce and scale project management tools and practices, driving alignment, visibility and efficiency via standardized processes tailored to team needs.

This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead implementation of a project management tracking tool (Planview) for the Human Resources function, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, rollout, and training.
  • Establish Corporate HR project management processes, utilization of enabling technologies/tools and related governance for effective management of the Corporate HR project portfolio
  • Facilitate ongoing project governance, timelines, and status reporting for HR initiatives.
  • Lead project intake efforts for HRIS and HR Operations initiatives.
  • Facilitate project planning, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Partner with IT and HR Systems teams to optimize integrations, data integrity, and system performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, process maps, SOPs, and user guides.
  • Track key project KPIs and success metrics and present updates to leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the HR Operations and HRIS functions and share learning across the HR function.

About You

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in HRIS, HR Operations, and Project Management roles.
  • Proven experience establishing PMO capabilities in an organization and aligning stakeholders to best practices in project management.
  • Prior experience leading Planview (or similar PPM tool) implementations.
  • Strong understanding of core HR systems design (e.g., Oracle HCM, Cornerstone LMS, Payroll and Benefits technologies, etc).
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Human Resources business processes and practices.
  • Technical aptitude with HR data, integrations, and reporting.
  • Expertise in project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communicator, experience communicating technical and business concepts to a global employee population using varied communication vehicles.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail coupled with solid understanding of change management principles.
  • Can manage/balance multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work products on a timely basis with limited oversight.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and Smartsheet.


Preferred:
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification.
  • Experience working in large, complex global organizations or shared services environments.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Helpdesk, ServiceNow, Jira, or ITSM tools used alongside HR tech stacks.
  • Experience working in a business environment undergoing significant change or growth.
  • Ability to travel to international locations if needed, though expected to be minimal.
