GMC is actively seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager of Debris. This role will support our Response Team with recovery after a storm. Debris Project Managers will be responsible for managing current contracts and business development activities.

GMC is actively seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager of Debris. This role will support our Response Team with recovery after a storm. Debris Project Managers will be responsible for managing current contracts and business development activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster and maintain critical client relationships to promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
- Conduct yearly pre-event meetings.
- Create and facilitate operational strategy for response.
- Training Delivery
- Lead overall project management activities and provide direction from a regional perspective over multiple projects.
- Serve as project manager, as needed.
- Coordinate and conduct daily onsite safety briefing with all WOB/Contractor personnel.
- Ensure professional, courteous, and respectful treatment of city or county officials, residents, contractors, managerial personnel, and fellow employees.
- Implement Quality Control system.
- Routinely monitor active storms such as hurricanes, tornados and severe winter weather for possible Federal Declarations and contact potential clients in the assigned regional area.
- Business Development -must have knowledge of growth strategies and be successful defining target opportunities in addition to developing proposals in response to RFPs.
- Maintain contract database for each client:
- Demographics
- Contract scope
- Operational requirements
- Contract terms
- Facilitate and oversee contract extensions.
- Asset Management
- Maintain Deployment Trailers inventory, re stock, and registrations.
- Logistics Planning
- Monitor and regulate staffing requirements.
- Stay up to date with federal/state policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of Debris Operations Leadership and Project Management background supporting multiple projects; preferably as a Project Lead
- Experience creating and implementing training programs related to debris operations, protocols, and safety standards.
- 5 years of Debris operations experience
- Familiar with Debris Monitoring software tools and reporting.
- Familiar with mapping and debris removal assessment technology
- Prior experience overseeing multiple projects.
- Ability to manage costs, staffing, scheduling, and risks across multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong client facing background.
- Previous experience with RFP preparation, Proposals, and Business Development
- Positive, friendly, courteous customer and client skills
- Strong leadership skills and proven great teamwork engagement.
- Ability to always follow safety protocols and work instructions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
- PMP or other professional registrations are desired.
- Ability to deploy within 24 hours of notification.
- May require irregular/extended work hours up to 70+ hours a week.
- May require relocating to emergency sites that require functioning under intense physical stress.
