Position Summary:

Amphenol, a global leader in interconnect systems, is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) within the IT & ERP organization. This strategic leadership role is ideal for a highly experienced professional with over 10 years of project management experience, a deep understanding of IT and ERP ecosystems, and a proven track record of managing cross-functional project teams.

The PMO Lead will oversee a team of project managers, ensuring the delivery of high-impact initiatives that align with our business objectives. This individual will drive best practices across the portfolio, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and provide leadership in governance, execution, stakeholder engagement, and value delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
PMO Leadership & Strategy
  • Establish and evolve the PMO framework, governance standards, tools, and templates for IT and ERP project execution.
  • Mentor and manage a team of project managers, providing guidance, support, and performance development.
  • Champion project management best practices (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid), ensuring consistent delivery excellence across the organization.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the IT leadership team on program alignment, project prioritization, and resource planning.
Program & Portfolio Management
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of a diverse portfolio of IT and ERP projects.
  • Lead high-visibility, complex programs with interdependencies across multiple business units and geographic locations.
  • Maintain a centralized view of project health, risks, and progress, ensuring transparency and executive-level reporting.
Stakeholder & Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with executive sponsors, department leads, and technical teams to define strategic outcomes and success metrics.
  • Align projects with broader digital transformation and ERP initiatives.
  • Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical resources, and third-party vendors.
Risk, Quality & Budget Oversight
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across projects and portfolios.
  • Ensure project delivery within defined scope, budget, timelines, and quality parameters.
  • Lead post-project evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Change Management & Communication
  • Facilitate organizational change management and adoption strategies.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive summaries, roadmaps, and dashboards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT project/program management, with at least 3+ years leading a PMO or managing other project managers.
  • PMP Certification is mandatory.
  • Additional certifications in Agile, Scrum Master, SAFe, ITIL, or ERP systems (e.g., QAD, SAP) are highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering ERP implementation or upgrade projects, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with project portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with international and remote teams is an asset.
