Experiences Required for This Role:
Project Planning & Management:
- Minimum 5 years of experience defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Proven track record in creating comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Experience organizing and facilitating meetings, including preparation and distribution of progress reports.
- Ability to communicate deviations from plans and implement corrective actions effectively.
- Expertise in establishing and managing robust project management processes, advocating for continuous improvement.
Risk/Issue Management & Mitigation:
- Minimum 5 years of experience identifying, tracking, and documenting project risks and issues.
- Ability to assess potential impacts and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Skilled in addressing risks to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.
- Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout project lifecycle.
Team Management & Team Building:
- Minimum 5 years of experience fostering collaborative and results-driven team environments.
- Demonstrated capability in holding teams accountable and aligning efforts with project goals.
- Proven ability to remove obstacles hindering team progress and leveraging organizational resources effectively.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating third-party activities to support project objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Project Management:
- Extensive proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, Scrum, Kanban).
- Expertise in Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Monday.com.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and diagramming tools like Miro or Visio.
- Experience with software development tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Ability to translate technical tasks into actionable project plans and effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
Performance in Complex Situations:
- Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining positive relationships.
- Expertise in conflict resolution among diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, finding innovative solutions to project challenges.
- Ability to identify unexpressed dependencies, requirements, and expectations.
- Comfortable navigating through ambiguous work environments with sound judgement and diplomacy.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is advantageous.
- Over 3 years of leadership experience in project management roles.
- Familiarity with web content management systems such as SiteCore.
- Exposure to various technology platforms and services, including Salesforce, MuleSoft, Azure, Power Platform, ForgeRock, and Google Analytics.
Administrative Considerations:
- The Project Manager will lead multiple projects concurrently.
- Engagement duration: Up to 12 months.
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET, up to 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility in daily hours based on business needs.
- On-site or remote work as required; mandatory webcam use for virtual meetings.
- Potential travel to state offices in Hartford; no local travel reimbursement.
- Contractor provides own laptop, webcam, and high-speed internet if remote.
