Role:

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and completion of complex, enterprise-wide projects, ensuring alignment with the credit union's strategic goals and objectives. This role will play a key role in the development and implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) to support enterprise-wide prioritization, standardization of project management methodologies, and continuous improvement.

Work Location:

This is an onsite position. Occasional remote work may be available for select positions and is subject to prior approval by management.

What you will be doing:

Project Leadership:

• Leads and manages cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and communication.
• Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
• Develops and maintains comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies.
• Proactively identifies and mitigates potential risks and issues.
• Monitors project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provides regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

PMO Development:

• Contributes to the establishment and continuous improvement of the PMO.
• Develops and implements standardized project management methodologies, tools, and templates.
• Supports the creation of a project prioritization framework that aligns with the credit union's strategic objectives.
• Provides guidance and coaching to other project managers on PMO processes and best practices.
• Contributes to the development of PMO reporting and metrics to track project portfolio performance and identifies areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

• Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Effectively communicates project information and updates to stakeholders through various channels.
• Facilitates communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders.
• Manages stakeholder expectations and ensures alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Strategic Alignment:

• Analyzes project proposals and initiatives to ensure alignment with the credit union's strategic goals and priorities.
• Contributes to the development of a project portfolio roadmap that supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
• Identifies opportunities to leverage projects to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.

What you'll bring along:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration or a related field is highly preferred.
• PMP certification required; additional certifications such as Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma or Agile preferred.
• 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing large-scale, enterprise-wide projects with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in strategic project management, leading initiatives that have significant organizational impact.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management, resource allocation and risk mitigation for projects for enterprise projects.
• Interpersonal Skills: Work requires extensive personal contact with executive leaders, internal teams and external partners for conflict resolution, influencing decisions and ensuring project success.
