As a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities would include:
- Working with business and IT stakeholders to understand the program scope, business objectives, timeline, etc.
- Strategizing and outlining the goals and objectives of each program/project
- Organizing, planning and monitoring multiple inter-connected projects
- Developing project charters, high level timelines, resources requirements, etc.
- Managing the day-to-day key activities
- Coordinating cross-project activities
- Managing issues and risks to minimize impact on programs/projects
- Assisting in removing key obstacles that are currently impacting project success
- Engaging with and presenting to senior management on various program/project topics
- Reporting to senior management on program/project status
- Coaching and mentoring project personnel
The ideal candidate for this position would also meet the following requirements:
- 10 years of project management experience
- 10 years of experience in the high-tech field
- 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment either as a Project Manager or a ScrumMaster
- Ability to work on multiple programs/projects concurrently
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Experience working independently, as well as in a team-oriented collaborative environment
- Strong, clear communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Persuasive, adaptable, encouraging, and motivating
- An independent learner and self-starter
- An eye for detail but able to see the big picture
- Prior business analysis experience is a plus
- A background in financial services is a plus
