Position Description: Senior Project Manager
Manage 30-40 simultaneous projects (90-120 day Project Life Cycle) from sales release through installation
Coordinate custom design with customer, in house engineering and production
Interact with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers during development of design and submittal drawings
Submit drawings to customer for approval
Upon receipt of approvals release the project to production
Manage schedules, logistics and all required details with customer/installer
Coordinate with manufacturing to assure customer requirements are met
Coordinate packing and shipping checklists internally
Oversee field installation of product including training of installation crew (10%-30% travel domestic and international)
Establish practices, templates, tools, policies, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities
Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques
Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate the impact to the baseline
Provide assistance for all project managers, as needed, for assessing and building scope of work documents and project plans
Position Details:
Location: Norcross, GA
Travel Requirements: Between 10-30%
Schedule: Primarily M-F days with other times as needed to support team and customers
Supervisory: Indirect Supervision of contract teams
Required:
5+ years of experience in Project Management
Technical degree preferred but not required with mechanical and electrical aptitude
Strong communication skills
Strong attention to detail (right the first time).
Self-motivated with a drive to succeed in a dynamic environment
Ability to find creative solutions to problems in the field
Robust organizational skills (juggle multiple projects simultaneously).
Work independently or within a diverse team framework (well-developed interpersonal skills).
Flexible and willing to do what is needed to help the team deliver and 'wow' the customer.
Preferred:
Field experience on installations of custom projects
Experience working directly with customers
Experience working with construction general contractors
