About the role

We are looking for a client-facing Senior Project Manager to join our growing team and manage multiple existing client relationships simultaneously. This role involves, but is not limited to, overseeing the Software Development Lifecycle, technical project management, and managing client requests for software enhancements and releases.

What you'll be doing

Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and expectations.

Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.

Lead project status meetings with internal and external stakeholders, reporting on project progress, and prepare project status reports and meeting minutes in a timely manner.

Plan and oversee the preparation and dissemination of project communications.

Develop project plans, goals, and budgets, and identify resource needs.

Identify risks and escalate them where appropriate.

Properly document project changes by following change control procedures and maintaining a change control log.

Allocate workload coverage, manage day-to-day workload, and assign tasks.

Conduct weekly department meetings with staff to establish weekly and monthly goals.

Participate in weekly managers' meetings, addressing and reporting on weekly priorities.

Support and monitor deployments and releases, including nights and weekends.

Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance or improve current business processes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Who we're looking for

You have 10 years of experience as a Project Manager within the IT, financial services, or FinTech industries, and hold a university degree or higher.

You have experience managing software development projects, ideally focused on B2B SaaS implementations, and demonstrate a strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and methodologies.

You are proactive, creative, collaborative, detail-oriented, and take initiative, with excellent multitasking abilities.

You possess excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, and can lead teams to meet tight deadlines.

You can analyze complex and ambiguous situations to identify effective solutions, and think strategically to align projects with long-term business and client goals.

You can effectively bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders and communicate with internal and external clients.

You can work with minimal supervision and provide technical guidance.

You are willing to travel to client sites when needed (ad hoc basis), and are determined to complete tasks.

Experience managing projects within the Canadian mortgage industry, covering all aspects of the mortgage life cycle (nice-to-have).
