Objective

The Senior Project Manager oversees the end-to-end execution of complex commercial equipment projects, from initial order through to design, procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, startup, and warranty completion. This role is responsible for developing project schedules, allocating resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Project Manager also ensures accurate financial tracking, billing, and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of assigned equipment projects, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop project objectives, priorities, budgets, and schedules with minimal supervision, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies in customer contracts, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams-including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance-to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Prepare and manage detailed project schedules, resource plans, and project documentation.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of technical drawings, specifications, and customer documentation.
  • Monitor project costs, track revenue, and ensure accurate financial reporting using project management software (e.g., SAP Project Systems).
  • Issue purchase requisitions, approve payments, and manage supplier relationships to ensure adherence to project requirements.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide periodic status, cost, and financial reports.
  • Support the sales process by preparing budgetary estimates, reviewing proposals, and participating in customer meetings and presentations.
  • Travel to project sites and vendor locations as needed to resolve issues, assess progress, and maintain project schedules.
  • Oversee project close-out, ensuring all documentation is complete and warranty issues are resolved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from a four-year college or university (required).
  • Experience preparing cost estimates and proposals for large equipment projects.
  • 5+yrs Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 7+yrs Project management experience, preferably with commercial equipment or industrial projects.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and financial tracking software.
  • Ability to travel as required for project needs.
