Your Impact
- Project Proposal and budget development
- Managing large budget Generation Projects for multiple disciplines
- Responsible for the execution, coordination, schedule, and maintaining integrity of assigned projects, including compliance with contractual requirements, as well as acceptable engineering/design practices and quality control
- Responsible for maintaining corporate and generation division quality procedures
- Must be able to organize and manage projects to meet or exceed the scheduled time frame, budget, and other related goals
- Will regularly interact with clients, so must be able to communicate effectively and resolve technical and commercial project issues
- The candidate will be responsible for business development, developing proposals, and making presentations
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Projects may be domestic or international so some travel may be required
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 12+ years of related work experience
- Experience in the EPC industry with a focus on power plant design work
- Experience in a wide range of power plant technologies is valued including biomass, municipal waste, geothermal, hydrogen production and applications, carbon capture, BESS, hydro, wind, solar, gas-fired and/or coal - subject matter expertise is less important than the ability to lead and manage complex projects
- Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions and ability to negotiate the same
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication skills and team player
- Proven ability to estimate, scope, schedule, and budget projects and keep projects on track in all these areas post-award
- Commitment to high-quality work and maintaining the professional reputation and client relationships that bring repeat business
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
