Job Description

These positions execute technical and functional responsibilities related to Quality support activities on project assignments and administrative functions (i.e., planning, organizing, interpreting, coordinating, and executing division or project assignments).
Communicate effectively at all levels in order to maintain liaison with individuals and units within or outside the department or project structures
Review technical documents including Purchase Orders and contracts to verify applicable technical and quality requirements,
Support the administration of the Corrective Action Program as assigned,
Employ decision-making authority and recommendations that may have a significant impact on regional or business line Quality policies and programs
Prepare project discipline activity plans for the quality function,
Support or lead as applicable project audits and/or surveillance activities noting non-conformances and verifying effective corrective action,
Assist in developing an orientation program to ensure that the project teams are familiar with the requirements of the Overarching and Project Quality Plan; including other Quality matters, if required
Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and fourteen (14) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering/technical preferred
Advanced degree in engineering discipline/technical field, or administration area preferred
Professional engineering registration preferred
Auditor certification by outside agency (e.g., Registrar
Accreditation Board (RAB), American Society for Quality
(ASQ), International Quality Associates (IQA), etc.)

Twelve (12) years of related Quality/project experience
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good leadership and decision-making skills

Other Job Requirements
U.S. Citizenship required.
ability to obtain Q clearance as required
working knowledge with 10CFR830, DOE Order 414.1d, and
ASME NQA-1
previous NRC or DOE Nuclear experience
some travel may be required
