About the Team

The Senior Quality Engineer will be tasked with performing failure analysis on field returns, qualification failures, and new product development on TV and Audio products.

The assigned tasks will be diverse and complex in nature which requires exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail. This position will need to exercise sound judgment in methods used to solve problems and in the evaluation of the results.

What You Will Do

  • Perform preliminary failure analysis as needed, including external visual examination.
  • Perform integrated circuit (IC) fault isolation to identify failure mechanism(s) utilizing schematics, layouts, multi-meter, microscope, and engineering tools.
  • Communicate and highlight product quality issues externally and internally.
  • Perform physical analysis to aid in localizing and identifying failure mechanism
  • Develop, characterize, and optimize FA techniques and tools to advance FA capabilities and efficiency
  • Work with ODMs and engineering groups to identify root cause of failures
  • Generate detailed failure analysis reports
  • Occasional travels to visit and audit our suppliers' FA procedures onsite

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in failure analysis engineering
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $96,000 year. The maximum salary for this position $186,000year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
