Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG), a subsidiary of TriSummit Utilities Inc., owns and operates natural gas transmission and distribution systems in British Columbia's lower Peace River, west central, and north coast regions. PNG's western transmission line extends from the Enbridge gas transmission system north of Prince George along the Highway 16 and Highway 37 south corridors to Terrace and then onto the port communities of Kitimat and Prince Rupert, providing transportation and gas services to twelve communities and a number of industrial facilities. In the Province's northeast, Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. provides gas transmission and distribution service in the Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Tumbler Ridge areas.
Reporting to the VP, Regulatory Affairs, Legal & Gas Supply, the Senior Regulatory Advisor will be responsible for writing and managing a variety of regulatory applications and filings with the BCUC, in collaboration with staff from across the company. The Senior Regulatory Advisor will be integral in the development of the regulatory strategies for each application or filing and will lead the cross-functional team at PNG in ensuring that the regulatory strategy is appropriately met. As a regulated public utility, PNG has a wide variety of interactions with the BC Utilities Commission (BCUC) with respect to its actions and authorizations necessary to conduct its business and the Senior Regulatory Advisor will be supporting this critical function for PNG.

What You Will Do:
Working with the VP Regulatory Affairs, Legal & Gas Supply and the Director, Regulatory Affairs, the Senior Regulatory Advisor will play a key role in the following:
- Preparing the written advocacy necessary for a variety of applications and filings for the BCUC, including revenue requirements applications, rate design applications, capital approval applications, and gas supply contract and rate applications. This includes writing applications, responses to information requests and, as appropriate, final submissions
- Managing the completion of these regulatory filings in collaboration with staff from across the company and providing support where needed
- Supporting the development of the regulatory strategies for each application or filing
- Preparing both quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights and actionable recommendations to support decision-making
- Interpreting and providing guidance on PNG's gas sales tariffs and BCUC orders
What You Will Bring:
- As the successful candidate, you will have:
- excellent verbal and written communication skills - a demonstrated ability to prepare written advocacy documents would be an asset,

- While the experience and qualifications below are highly desired, PNG is willing to train the right candidate for this role. The ideal candidate will have the following job-related experience and qualifications:
- University or College degree in Business, Law or Engineering
- A CPA designation
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an organization regulated by the BCUC, another organization regulated by an administrative tribunal or a regulatory body
- Understanding of regulatory structures, accounting and regulatory bodies
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $112,000 depending on background and experience
