- Serves as Solid Rocket Motor Test lead, managing all test activities and operations from build-up to test of novel rocket technology.
- Lead cross-organization team, including test personnel, security, safety, quality assurance, and munitions to plan and develop test processes and conduct operations.
- Manages cost, schedule, and performance of a unique rocket Test & Evaluation portfolio.
- Oversees large Government and Contractor team conducting operations across multiple test pads. -Works with industry and DoD partners as part of Public-Private Partnerships to advance the US rocket technology base.
- Regularly conveys technical test stand information, readiness, and risks to peers, senior leaders within AFRL and test customers.

- Occasional travel (~10%) may be required for the position.
- Regular telework is allowed, but some on-site work is required.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required Secret security clearance
- Must have five years of experience at the DR-II (GS-12/13 or equivalent) grade level or one year of experience at the DR-III (GS-14 or equivalent) grade level BS Engineering degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Must have two years test experience in either rocket or flight test Experience with programming and budgeting regarding research and development programs
- Demonstrated ability to work with industry partners to meet mission requirements This is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring Level/Tier 2 (Practitioner) non-critical certification in Engineering and Technical Management (N). The selectee will have 24-months to meet APDP requirements or a waiver must be obtained.
