ArsenalBio is seeking a Senior Research Associate to support the T cell isolation and genome engineering and Cell line development cores as a part of our efforts to develop and commercialize curative immune cell therapies. This candidate will be responsible for optimizing and running cell isolations, designing and executing genome engineering workflows, and generating target cell lines. The ideal candidate will have experience with mammalian cell culture and experience with CRISPR-Cas9, lentiviral, and transposon based cell engineering methods. The candidate will be expected to coordinate with multiple teams across ArsenalBio to determine project needs and work within the Discovery team to identify and implement potential process improvements to optimize the workflow.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
    • Conduct T cell isolation and processing to support company-wide requests
    • Design and execute genome engineering studies to generate transgene expressing primary cells
    • Fulfill cell line engineering requests including lentiviral and transposon-based gene editing
    • Perform CRISPR-based gene knock-out
    • Integrate and coordinate multiple different workflows into the cell isolation and genome engineering core activities
    • Perform characterization of gene modified T cell populations and indication specific cell lines
    • Troubleshoot and optimize experimental workflows
    • Maintain detailed study logs of studies to facilitate datathe dissemination and reporting.

WHO YOU ARE
    • Masters degree in biological discipline required with 0-2 years relevant experience, or Bachelors with 2+ years relevant experience

    • Preferred Qualifications
    • 2+ years of research experience with primary human T cell isolation/culture and multi-dimensional flow cytometry
    • Experience in clinical scale cell processing (i.e. Miltenyi MultiMACS or equivalent platforms)
    • Familiarity withwith electroporation technology is a plus
    • Experience with automation platforms and databasing is desired
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to acquire learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity, and deliver high-quality results
    • Technically minded with a strong aptitude for process optimization
    • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
    • Ability to multitask as needed in a fast-paced start-up environment

The estimated base salary for the preferred primary location of the San Francisco Bay area ranges from $83,300-$102,000. Salary ranges for other locations may vary. Base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, experience, education, and location. Beyond these considerations, we are committed to pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current employees when making any final offers.
