GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The RF Test Technician will be responsible for the tuning, testing and troubleshooting of complex RF/Microwave amplifiers and integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs) in a clean room environment.This position requires the ability to obtain security clearance, if needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform tuning, testing and troubleshooting of complex RF/Microwave amplifiers and integrated assemblies to meet required specifications.
Preferred experience in tuning RF thin film circuits.
Understanding of RF and DC testing that is required in support of production hardware, including but not limited to Frequency, Gain, Gain Flatness, Noise Figure, Return Loss, P1dB Compression, second and third order intercept points, harmonics, spurs and DC Current.
Able to calibrate all test equipment to support production hardware.
Ability to use and understand standard test equipment, including but not limited to network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, scalar analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and power meters.
Must possess excellent hand dexterity and be able to work under a microscope for extended lengths of time.
Ability to analyze and document results for items tuned and/or tested.
Training and providing technical guidance to new technicians
Work in a manufacturing environment and able to meet targets/goals.
Able to understand and work from verbal instructions, test specs, wiring diagrams and schematics
Understand and follow all safety requirements, as well as ISO Procedures.
Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
Work with assembly, quality and engineering on design improvements.
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Experience with handling, tuning, testing and inspection of RF & Microwave Amplifiers.Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.

Ability to obtain Security Clearance, if needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience or training.
5+ years of experience testing, tuning and troubleshooting microwave assemblies is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Shop floor environment / workbench or workstation.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
