Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Job Description

Job Purpose:
Develop new back-end and front-end features, fix bugs, and support deployment of updates for cloud-based SCADA web applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and web applications
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to define full stack engineering tasks & make architectural decisions.
• Work with ambiguity and a product engineer mindset to create impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in front-end development. We use Svelte but are fine with experience in other modern libraries.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience deploying and maintaining managed Kubernetes clusters (EKS or similar).
• Experience with cloud administration & infrastructure (AWS preferred).
