The Senior Sales Account Executive will attract new clients for Emerald, a Crete United company, across the US by establishing and retaining the relationship, identifying and meeting all their sustainability needs for the business and its buildings, and ensuring that they receive outstanding customer service from the client-services team. The ideal candidate will have a track record of selling sustainability services to mid-to-large market companies, K-12 and Higher Ed, developers, architects, engineers, and commercial building contractors seeking sustainable performance. The candidate will be highly energetic with a growth and entrepreneurial mindset ready to deliver outstanding service for our clients. This position will also collaborate with the client services team to empower them to build stronger relationships with existing clients and increase repeat business rates. Key Deliverables
- Ongoing achievement of sales growth and new business development.
- Serve as an energetic leader of the sales process to build rapport ensuring client satisfaction and strong revenues for business.
- Manage individual sales plan to achieve growth and accurately forecast performance with Leadership.
- Achieving high performance by leveraging the right internal processes and resources to meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term relationships with high volume customers to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create a targeted lead development plan, coordinated with marketing and the overall Company's strategic plan.
- Build solid and secure business partnerships with key organizations and teams.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the customers' position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape.
- Manage customer input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines.
- Manage RFP proposals to deliver wins.
- Facilitate execution as a strategic orchestrator, ensuring we deliver on the promises we've made, and the results customers expect.
- Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels.
- Attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
- Proactively remain connected to customers and stay abreast of sustainability trends to access new search opportunities and ensure all viable customers are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
- Influence customers to make the right business decision through consultative education helping them see the financial and non-financial impact of their decisions to their organizations.
- Complete the initial sales phase. Work with team members to define the parameters and requirements of each proposal and ensure the transfer of project knowledge and critical success factors from the lead stage through the project teams.
- Available daily for travel throughout the regional area as needed to facilitate execution of job duties for site visits, client meetings, conferences, trade shows, and team interaction.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales or similar relevant field experience
- 5+ years of sales experience selling energy efficiency, sustainability, or related
- Proven sales results and an established book of business
- Clear and concise communication and a collaborative mindset
- Proven networking and relationship building skills evidenced in the range of professional contacts you've developed
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
- Problem-solving and negotiation aptitude
- Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment consistently and positively.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customer leaders of all levels (C-level down to entry-level support roles)
- Ability to work independently and manage personal time, keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong writing, phone, and presentation skills
- Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- Highly competitive base annual salary (depending on experience and a lucrative performance-based commission/ annual bonus structure).
