The Senior Sales Executive is a remote seasoned senior sales professional for complex group business of 21-99 on peak with a minimum of (5) five years of group sales experience with success in achieving results and collaborating amongst a successful results-oriented team. This position is responsible for proactively soliciting and handling large group related opportunities, with significant revenue potential and reports to the Director of Sales. Deployment will be in midwest and northeast markets with focus on Corporate and Association accounts, along with a top intermediary accounts. The Senior Sales Executive works to develop, build and maintain long-term relationships in order to achieve personal and team related revenue goals. Must be able to convert, prospect and develop new sales opportunities.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Possesses excellent telephone sales skills
Excellent selling skills and understanding of sales processes
Knowledge of operations
Knowledge of Marriott Lodging products, cultures and brand strategies
Knowledge of food trends, food and beverage and menu planning
Knowledge of contractual agreements and legal implications
Strong customer and relationship management skills
Effective decision-making skills
Good negotiation skills
Strong communication skills and problem-solving skills
Ability to influence others
Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they affect department
Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems including SFA and CI/TY

REQUIRED CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
Hospitality Management degree beneficial

MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
Supports strategies and conducts activities to drive market share, guest satisfaction and financial results
Proactive soliciting and managing large group related opportunities
Upsells each business opportunity to maximize revenue. Achieves individual and team sales goals to enable business success
Responds to incoming group sales opportunities
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales call, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows etc.
Effectively manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Conducts site inspections
Creates contracts

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Interacts with management, applicants, fellow Associates and/or guests.
Requires use of standard office equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Working knowledge of all floors cleaning equipment to include buffers, walk behind scrubbers, strippers.
Requires stooping upward reaching.
Ability to and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and always requires to use personal protective equipment (PPE)
