Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Leader to drive profitable sales growth of our products and services. This role will focus on managing both new and existing accounts while leading and optimizing the sales team's performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the sales team.
- Managing sales pipeline activities and driving revenue growth.
- Capturing and analyzing customer insights (Voice of the Customer).
- Aligning company capabilities with evolving customer needs and market trends.
- Ensuring the company remains relevant and competitive within the industry.
- Maintaining a strong company culture and fostering collaboration.

- Decision Making: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in paint systems, including substrates, pretreatments, electrocoats, primers, monocoats, basecoats, clearcoats, chemistry, and application processes.
- Self-Motivation & Accountability: Goal-driven with the ability to lead teams remotely while holding them accountable for results.
- Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally to implement strategies, drive results, and advocate for customers.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM (Sales Force) systems.
- Operational Excellence: Experience in developing and managing key performance metrics, tracking progress, and ensuring success.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials, Chemistry, or Business.
- Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience in the finishing industry (paint, pretreatment, sealants, raw materials).
- Strong leadership qualities with a team-oriented mindset.
- 10+ years of experience in the finishing industry.
- 5+ years of sales management experience with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, and see regularly.
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and fingers for various tasks.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, or balancing of objects.
- Travel as needed to Southeast, MI.
- Frequent travel to customer sites and industry events in Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Chicago.
- Occasional travel across North America, with limited international travel.
