PACO Group, Inc. (PACO) is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Scheduler to support the JFK Redevelopment Program. This pivotal role requires specialized assistance in resolving complex scheduling challenges for projects of significant risk and impact. The selected candidate will develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, perform in-depth schedule and risk analyses (including quantitative risk), and collaborate with cost and contract leads to ensure all critical milestones and deliverables are met. This is a hybrid opportunity that may require on-site presence based on client requirements. The ideal candidate will possess advanced scheduling knowledge, proven experience in large-scale infrastructure or aviation environments, and the ability to proactively mitigate scheduling issues. Job Description
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for large-scale or high-risk projects using Primavera P6 or similar software.
- Update project schedules to reflect progress, providing clear communication of status, critical paths, and milestone achievements.
- Perform both qualitative and quantitative schedule risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential delays.
- Conduct contractor claims analysis, reviewing delay cost estimates, time impacts, and other schedule-related documentation.
- Integrate cost and schedule data to generate clear, actionable reports-including Earned Value Analysis (EVA)-for key stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular schedule updates, communicating potential risks and recommended corrective actions.
- Work closely with cost, contract, and broader program management teams to align scheduling activities with financial and contractual objectives.
- Propose and assess "what if" scenarios to optimize project sequencing and resource allocation, helping to prevent schedule delays.
- Investigate schedule variances, recommend corrective measures, and develop revised forecasts as required.
- Assist in the resolution of project conflicts, including the submission of schedule-related documentation for claims and dispute resolution.
- Report directly to the Scheduling Manager of the JFK Redevelopment Program, providing timely updates on all scheduling and progress-related matters.
- Independently develop, maintain, and troubleshoot schedules for complex projects.
- Execute thorough analyses of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates.
- Perform contemporaneous schedule analyses to manage real-time data and ensure project timelines remain accurate.
- Conduct schedule risk assessments, identifying and communicating areas of significant concern.
- Produce integrated cost-schedule reports, including EVA metrics, for internal and external review.
- Collaborate with project management to ensure alignment of scheduling with project controls, contract requirements, and budget constraints.
- Assist in evaluating the impact of potential delays, providing strategic recommendations for mitigating schedule overruns.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support overall program objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business.
- In lieu of a degree, 10 years of project controls experience will be considered.
- At least 6 years of related experience in scheduling or project controls.
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling principles and methodologies, particularly in complex or high-risk infrastructure environments.
- AACE PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or equivalent certification.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
- Demonstrated experience working on mega projects within infrastructure or aviation sectors.
