Senior Scheduler
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Senior Scheduling Engineer will provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities
Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
Ensure that corporate planning and schedule stands are implemented and that all project related activities comply
Provide oversight and supervision of scheduling team
Coach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents
Establish and nurture teamwork environment
Ensure crews have resources and support
Provide work direction and performance evaluations
Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if needed
Develop leadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunities
Implement Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at project site
Manage open shop and union issues
Maintain relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, et al.
Manage site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvement
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field
Minimum of four (6) years construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software
Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing
Shown ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems on complex projects
Strong plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skills
Basic knowledge of project management, contracts, and buyout
Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies
Strong organization and team skills
Basic knowledge of cost and resource loaded schedules
Basic knowledge of claims avoidance and resolution techniques
Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions
Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Ability to travel may be required based on operating group
Current driver's license

The base pay range for this role is $97,600 MIN - $146,400 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
