Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
- Act as a coach and mentor to the scrum team, helping to solve complex challenges and guiding them towards agile best practices.
- Identify and resolve process inefficiencies, promoting continuous improvement across teams and influencing change both internally and externally.
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives as a servant leader to enhance team performance and delivery effectiveness.
- Perform project management duties, including resource coordination, planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting key metrics against project goals.
- Assist Product Owners and development teams in release planning, sprint backlog maintenance, and prioritization.
- Foster a safe and trusting team environment, enabling open discussions without fear of blame or judgment and encouraging problem-solving.
- Help teams achieve project objectives while aligning with overarching business goals and strategic priorities.
- Develop an agile mindset within the team and provide mentorship to new Scrum Masters to enhance agile capabilities across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Scrum Master in an agile environment.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
- Excellent facilitation and coaching skills to drive team engagement and self-organization.
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements that drive high-quality delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to interact with teams, leadership, and external partners.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Ability to work in a hybrid model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) is a plus.
