Description:
We are seeking a Senior SDET Quality Engineer with a strong automation background in banking/finance to drive test efficiency. The ideal candidate will be defining test strategies, creating test plans, executing test cases, and implementing automation solutions for our banking clients.

In this role, you will:
Design, implement and own automation strategies to enhance test efficiency and coverage across target applications.
Lead by example as an automation engineer, ensuring best practices in scripting, execution, and maintenance.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, driving continuous testing.
Develop automation frameworks for API, UI, and backend testing to ensure robust, scalable, and reusable test suites.
Ensure compliance with banking/HR regulations test automation approaches.
Perform test data management, identifying, creating, and securing test data for automation needs.
Drive shift-left testing, integrating automation early in the development lifecycle to identify defects early.
Analyze automation reports and metrics, identifying trends and areas for optimization.
Evaluate new automation tools and technologies to enhance the bank's QE capabilities.
Accountable for developing deep domain knowledge and business logic, processes, flows, data flows and rules, for areas in scope and training junior resources. (Workday/ SAP/ Payroll functions).
What you'll need to succeed (required skills):
Minimum 8+ years in QE with a strong focus on test automation in banking or financial services.
Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, Playwright.
Hands-on experience in developing and implementing efficient test case design and test architecture techniques, automation framework(s) & automation strategies.
Must have strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured) is an asset.
Experience in test automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, BDD/TDD.
Hands-on experience working in Unix environments.
CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Bamboo.
Cloud testing experience on AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
Knowledge of test management tools like JIRA, qTest.
