Your role
Position Summary:

The Sensory Scientist will be responsible for supporting the Beverage Business Unit (BU) and Research & Technology (R&T) teams by providing strategic leadership in research initiatives and designing experiments within these sectors, while acting as the data expert for the Sensory & Consumer Insights team.

This role will serve as the primary statistician, conducting advanced statistical multivariate analysis on various data sets, creating models, and supporting the development of predictive tools in the decoding of sensory attributes, such as saltiness or sweetness (in collaboration with Global SCI). This role will be instrumental in making data connections and visualizations to influence product development and drive business growth.

About you
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
  • Degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years' experience in sensory science, preferably within the food industry.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, XLSTAT, SPSS).
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates willingness and enthusiasm to learn and utilize the Power BI tool

Skills & Abilities:
  • Superior oral communication, technical writing, presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Strong data interpretation and storytelling skills for presentation to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and develop robust testing strategies within cross-functional teams.
  • Organized, team player who can manage multiple priorities and is driven for results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal candidate will be a pro-active, energetic, and creative problem-solver.
  • Safety/Regulatory Training Requirements
  • Normal safety, Regulatory, and ISO training per company policy.

Working Conditions:

Sensory laboratory and office environment

Willing to travel both domestically and internationally.
