Position Summary

As a Senior Settlements Analyst, you will be the subject matter expert on CAISO Settlements within our Bid to Bill product line. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our CAISO settlement system meets the needs of our customers by interpreting and implementing CAISO market rules, supporting product development, and providing advanced customer support. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in CAISO charge codes, market rules, and settlements.

This position requires close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, and Professional Services to translate regulatory and market changes into product enhancements, while also providing customer-facing expertise for settlement-related inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities
  • CAISO Market Expertise
    • Serve as the CAISO Settlements expert within the organization, ensuring deep knowledge of charge code formulas and underlying market rules.
    • Monitor and analyze CAISO Business Practice Manuals (BPMs) and API Specifications, documenting required product changes.
    • Participate in CAISO market calls, including Market Simulation meetings, Release User Group meetings, and Technical User Group meetings, to identify impacts and coordinate necessary product updates.
  • Product & Engineering Collaboration
    • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to implement CAISO market changes in the PowerCore CAISO settlement system.
    • Configure charge code formulas and test settlement functionality within the PowerCore CAISO system.
    • Assist in resolving system bugs and performance issues, collaborating with software engineers to enhance PowerCore CAISO functionality.
  • Customer Support
    • Provide advanced customer support by troubleshooting tickets related to PowerCore CAISO settlement system modules.
    • Train Customer Support and Operations team members on the functionality of CAISO Settlements and PowerCore CAISO system.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on customer calls, helping to address complex technical questions regarding CAISO Settlements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience performing CAISO settlement statement validations and disputes.
  • Experience using SQL to analyze data.
  • Settlement experience in CAISO is required
  • Travel requirement: 0% to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MISO, ERCOT, ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, and SPP experience is desired.
